Quincy Industrial Wastewater Treatment Facility

Owner: City of Quincy. Engineer: Woodard & Curran. Our contract: concrete repairs, under Clean Infusion.

Two projects, one treatment basin each. SBR #2 in March 2021. SBR #1 in March 2022.

The aeration piping in each basin is held down by rows of concrete ballast blocks sitting on a liner. Blocks had shifted and split. We moved them back on line, drilled and epoxied rebar dowels into the existing concrete, formed between them, and poured new concrete to tie each row together end to end. In 2022 alone that was more than 380 block repairs and 85 cross ties.

The liner under all of it could not be damaged. It wasn't.

No truck could get down into the basin. We pumped concrete to the bottom and moved it into place by hand.

We finished inside the window both years and met every spec and design requirement.
